Islamabad (PR): Today marks the 1st anniversary of the tragic Bhoja Air crash, another Pakistani aviation catastrophe that happened in less than 2 years of a series of tragic AirBlue Crash in Islamabad, the Russian Cargo plane crash and the JS Private Charter crash in Karachi.
On this day we pay homage to the Shuhada of the ill-fated BHOJA-213 flight and pray for them. May Almighty Allah rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant patience and courage to the aggrieved families to bear this irreparable loss.
We again demand from the government, Ministry of Defense, CAA and the
concerned authorities to make the investigation report public, bring the responsible people to justice and ensure full compensation to all the families despite the lapse of full one year.
Aviation crashes are a result of not one single element but a result of series of errors which all have to be investigated, reviewed, corrective actions taken and implemented. Machine error, equipment malfunction, maintenance of the plane, incompetency and inexperience of
concerned staff all contribute to the eventual disaster. These major crashes highlight the fact that aviation safety is not just the concern of the pilots but of all the people involved directly or indirectly with the aviation / air traffic control system. Indeed safety in the air depends on many correlating factors often invisible to the traveler.
