Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan commended the Pakistani students for sending out the message of peace and harmony through their contributions at the University.
Abu Dhabi, (PR) My 31, 2012: Rolling with its Global Day celebrations to hail spirit of coexistence, the Abu Dhabi University on Wednesday presented honorary shield to Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE Jamil Ahmed Khan, acknowledging the contributions to enliven the academic spirit and adding green to the multicultural nuance at the University.
Pakistan’s envoy had joined the ambassadors from Kazakhstan, Oman, Egypt, Mexico, Libya and Yemen to witness the Global Day celebrations at the university campus. The envoys went around the various stalls organized in the backdrop of country themes and appreciated the cultural diversity the event had cobbled together.
Each stall displayed that country’s food and beverage delicacies, which the envoys enjoyed as they strolled along mingling with students and appreciating their efforts in organizing the Global Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan commended the Pakistani students for sending out the message of peace and harmony through their contributions at the University, through academics as well as extra-curricular activities.
He emphasized that such events provided good opportunities to the Pakistani students to represent their country as ambassadors of peace and friendship, and adding to the efforts to bring goodwill and diversity to the world community.
The envoy also invited the students to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi to acknowledge their efforts in raising country profile through off and on campus engagements.
