UAE (PR): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Mr. Jamil Ahmed Khan had a meeting with Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Mr. Ali Arshad Hakeem in which he carried complaints of the overseas Pakistanis who were harassed at different airports in Pakistan.
“Overseas Pakistanis are a valuable asset of the country who are contributing in the uplift of national economy by sending record remittances to their homeland. They must be respected and given better facilitation at the airports”, said Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan during the meeting.
Upon receiving the complaints, Chairman FBR ordered to immediately form a Complaint Cell at Federal Board of Revenue Head quarters dedicated for the overseas Pakistan. He told Ambassador Khan that he will write a letter to all Pakistan’s ambassadors abroad suggesting to send all such complaints directly to the Complaint Cell.
This step has been taken in line with the overall directions given by the President and the Prime Minister to address the problems faced by the overseas Pakistanis.
Mr. Ali Arshad Hakeem assured Ambassador Khan that strict action will be taken against the corrupt elements. Ambassador Khan thanked Chairman FBR for taking interest in resolving the problems of the overseas Pakistanis.
