Karachi: HUM’s famous drama serial, ‘Aseerzadi’ created waves when the mayor of Paris City, Texas, USA, announced the celebration of ‘Aseerzadi Week’ to encourage diversity in American culture. An official proclamation letter was released by the mayor’s office on behalf of A.J. Hashmi, M.D., Mayor of City of Paris, Texas, USA officially announcing the celebration week from January 20, 2014. It may be noted that this is the first time that any Pakistani drama serial has been awarded with this distinguish honour. “Aseerzadi” is currently being broadcast on HUM and beautifully depicts the role of tradition in our society.
The letter openly applauded the credible acting of every actor in the play and praised the story that was penned by renowned writer Mustafa Afridi. The serial brilliantly highlights the differences and similarities in American and Pakistani cultures. “Aseerzadi” is directed by Ehteshamuddin Mohammad and is a production of Momina Duraid for HUM. Pakistani viewers can watch the show every Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
