Curriculum begin made according the needs of the era- Jam

KARACHI:  Provincial minister for education and literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that after 18th amendment it is a constitutional obligation of the provinces to mould the curriculum according the needs of the modern era and Sindh has a privilege that so far it has reviewed and made changes in its curriculum up to to class seventh . This he said while presiding over a meeting of the subject specialists of Curriculum wing here in Sindh secretariat on Thursday. Chairman Sindh Text Book Board/special Secretary Syed Zakir Hussain Shah and director curriculum dr. Fouzia Khan also attended the meeting. Provincial minister directed the subject specialists and educationists to keep religious and cultural values and historical facts in their mind while reviewing and making changes in the curriculum and the topics like traffic rules,  environment, human rights, nutrition and anti corruption should be included and enhanced time to time. He also asked them to hire the services of experts from open market on market rate and the quality of the printing papers of the books to be improved.  He added,’  

Along with the books the sincerity and the dedication of the teachers is a must and without their sincerity it is not possible to get our objectives’.  The minister education further directed them to submit their suggestions how to improve the curriculum and send them to ministry of education in couple of days.Jam Mehtab suggested to hire the consultancy services of the teachers from high reputed educational institutions to make the curriculum upto the standard. (Shuja ullah Khan, editor@enewspaper.com.pk)
