Karachi, April 23: Tanker SHOKO MARU for loading 3,500 tonnes of Ethanol, container vessel SYDNEY, bus carrier ASIAN BEAUTY for discharging 156 units of bus and bulk carrier RINEA are due to reach at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Monday. The ships container carrier HYUNDAI GENERAL, container carrier MOL WIND and tankerQUETTA have arrived during the last 24 hours and acquired safe berthing at the port; whereas general cargo vessel KANG HONG, tanker MARIA PRINCESS and container ship UASC SHUWAIKH arrived the previous day at the port. Nine ships sailed out from the port during the last 24 hours. These include general cargo vessel TAN BINH 22, tanker MAISTROS, container vessel UASC SHUWAIKH, container vessel OOCL DALIAN, container vessel APL GUANGZHOU, tanker LODESTAR GENESIS, tanker MARIA PRINCESS, container vessel C. S. L. RIDE and bulk carrier UBC CYPRUS.
Three vessels – container carrier KOTA ANGGERIK, bulk carrier EQUATOR HARMONY and general cargo KANG HONG sailed out from the port the previous day. Three vessels MOL WIND,QUETTAand ABDULLATIF S are due to sail out from the port on Monday.
A total tonnage of 318,540 comprising 69,486 tonnes of export cargo and 249,054 tonnes of import cargo were handled by the port during the last 48 hours.
