Karachi, April 20: Three container vessels, three tankers and a bulk carrier are due to reach at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Saturday; however a container vessel has acquired safe berthing at the port. The ships due for arrival on Saturday are tanker MARIA PRINCESS for discharging 65,000 tonnes of cooking oil, container vessel UASC SHUWAIKH and bulk carrier KANG HONG for discharging 2,870 tonnes of steel whereas ships due for arrival on Sunday are tanker QUETTA for discharging 65,000 tonnes of cooking oil, tanker SHOKO MARU for loading 3,500 tonnes of ethanol, container vessel MOL WIND and container vessel HYUNDAI GENERAL. Two ships KOTA ANGGERIK and EQUATOR HARMONY will sail out of the port on Saturday.
Only a container vessel RIO BRAVO was berthed at Karachi Port during the last 24 hours while a tanker M. T. Karachi and two container vessels SANTA BALBINA and APL BRISBANE sailed out of the port during the period.
A total tonnage of 102,530 comprising 19,940 tonnes of export cargo and 82,590 tonnes of import cargo was handled by the portduring the last 24 hours.
