Karachi: After the grand special screening of 122, the Egyptian suspense-thriller brought to Pakistan by ABA Associates and dubbed in Urdu, the distributor Ali Chaudhry shared with the media present, “I feel excited to have achieved this great milestone and to have captured maximum single screen (circuit) cinemas as well as made record-high penetration in multiplex cinemas. This is definitely a first in Pakistan for any foreign language movie dubbed in Urdu.”
He added, “I am really grateful for all the positive reviews we have received from all those who watched the film tonight, and especially to the stars for taking out the time to see the film, and appreciating it so whole-heartedly. ABA is also thankful to cinema owners who have shown great interest in this movie and have allocated show slots accordingly. We would also like to put on record our appreciation for our media partners and the film’s international cast for being part of this phenomenal beginning.”
It may be noted that the eminent cast of 122 includes Tarek Lotfi, Ahmed Daoud, Amina Khalil, Ahmed Al-Fishawi, Mohammad Lutfi, Jihane Khalil, Mohammed Mamdouh and many more. The movie is produced by Saif Oraibi, written by Salah Al Gehiny, while the editor is Amr Akef, DOP is Ahmed Kardous and line producer is Mohamed Nassar.
