KARACHI (PR): The fashion furor peaks yet again as the sartorial mavens join hands to present Men’s Fashion Week Pakistan 2012, the country’s first fashion event devoted exclusively to designer and high street menswear, offering creators who specialize in menswear an excellent opportunity to showcase their core strengths and develop bonds with their potential clients.
Pakistan is known for its strength in manufacturing menswear for the world’s leading brands including GAP, Diesel, Ralph Lauren, Zara, Tommy Hilfiger and many more. In the same vein, Pakistan’s menswear industry has also grown by leaps and bounds in the past decade or so, with an influx of talented designers and industry professionals. In such a scenario, there is a dire need for collaboration between manufacturers and designers – a bond Men’s Fashion Week Pakistan 2012, aims to develop and strengthen so that product development centres can be set up, which in turn will increase Pakistan’s export along with its position as a competitive producer.

The intent behind this event is clear and well-defined: to strengthen and bolster Pakistan’s fashion industry. We collectively strive to achieve certain vital goals such as paving way to export value-added products from Pakistan especially in the men’s wear market; help designers/producers identify international Fashion Weeks and trade shows where they will be able to showcase their work and receive orders; connect prospective clients with local designers and identify key stake holders of the event and bring them together.

Investors in the foreign markets are well-aware of Pakistan’s potential for mass production and are geared up to harness this ability. We would like to pave way for them so that they may work with the local designers and entrepreneurs for the mutual benefit of both the entities and the country on a larger scale.
In addition Men’s Fashion Week Pakistan 2012 is also a great platform for the Pakistan Fashion Industry’ cadre of both established and burgeoning male models populace; a group that is often under-utilized and unappreciated often being used as fillers or attendants for their female counterparts. Along with an extensive Male Model Search to unearth new talent, the Men’s Fashion Week Pakistan 2012 will feature established top male models from both Karachi and Lahore to create a roster of approximately 60 male models who will be given an opportunity to highlight and focus their talents during the three day event.
Men’s Fashion Week Pakistan will be a highly anticipated and important calendar event in the years to come – an occasion that will reshape Pakistan’s fashion scenario. Under the creative tutelage of senior designer and Creative Director of the event, Munib Nawaz Men’s Fashion Week Pakistan will feature the very best of the Pakistani fashion industry be it the participation of legendary designer Amir Adnan or stylists like Khawar Riaz and Nabila along with some exciting new talent.

Men’s Fashion Week Pakistan will take place in Karachi from 30th August to 1st September, 2012.
