ANA has reported that Covid-19 testing at Lisbon airport had been doubled over the weekend, but, given the "high demand", they have appealed to passengers to favor other locations to perform the test
Lisbon, Portugal (By/Naveed Ahmed): “Despite the reinforcement of resources and the increase in capacity for this weekend, demand remains high. Therefore, we ask that passengers undergo the test before coming to the airport and that this is not considered as a first option”, said the official source of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal to Lusa.
According to the concessionaire, "passengers wishing to carry out a test at the airport must make their prior appointments on the Synlab website", and "priority will be given to passengers with a flight for the same day".
Advancing that "about 2,200 tests" were carried out on Saturday, ANA said that on Sunday "more than 800" had already been carried out, with "10 service stations in operation" and "the existing means have been duplicated".
Television images broadcast on Saturday afternoon showed huge lines of people waiting to take the Covid-19 test at Humberto Delgado Airport.
