The Norwegian Nobel Prize 2018 Awards Won Denis Mukwege And Nadia Murad

Oslo, Norway: The Norweigan Nobel prize Committee announced today Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad got the Nobel Peace Prize. A 25 years old Nadia Murad said this the big day for me, she is caught by IS and kidnapped by the Islamic state in August 2014 and managed to escape in November of the same year, after being sexually abused.  She said our campaign over the past four years, we would not have seen the steps we have seen toward justice. She has continued to campaign for victims of sexual violence and trafficking and her case has been taken up by human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, who is calling for an investigation into Isis for genocide crimes against the Yazidi community. Just two months ago, Nadia announced she was engaged to fellow Yazidi activist Abid Shamdeen.

Denis Mukwege is the helper who has devoted his life to speaking the cause of the victims. Nadia Murad is witnessed as telling about the abuse of himself and others. Each in their way, they have helped to visualize sexualized abuse in war, so that perpetrators can be held responsible, it is stated in the Nobel Committee's grounds. He and his staff have helped more than 40,000 survivors of sexual assault, including treating severe internal wounds caused by gang.
