Taliban, Iran Officials Meet In Kabul

Kabul: Hassan Kazemi-Qomi, Iran’s special envoy for Afghanistan, met and spoke with Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and Taliban Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor. The two sides discussed the situation in Afghanistan, investment in mining, agriculture, energy, railways, and regional developments. Iran is willing to invest in Afghanistan’s mining, agriculture, energy, and railway industries, according to Kazemi-Qomi. Amir Khan Muttaqi, citing constructive conversations between Iranian and Afghan authorities, advocated for the two countries relations to be strengthened.
