TO ENHANCE THE BEAUTY OF THE CITY UNDER THE TREE PLANTATION CB, KPT AND CAA SHOULD ACT WITH MUTUAL COOPERATION AND COORDINATION - GOVERNOR SINDH
Karachi: A meeting was held in Governor House with senior officers of Sindh's all Cantonment boards under the chairmanship of Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail. The meeting was attended by MNA Aftab Siddiqui, MNA Captain (Red.) Jamil, Regional Director, Military Land and Cantonment, Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan CEOs of Karachi, Cliffton, Malir, Korangi Creek, Faisal and Manora Cantonments.
Regional Director Military Land and Cantonment, Rana Manzoor Ahmad Khan briefed the meeting and disclosed that the Sindh government was due to pay 400 millions rupees in the favor of Sindh Cantonment, since 1998, as Octroi amount. He further said that with regard to the emergency situation the Cantonment also needs fire snorkel, on-which Governor Sindh directed the KIDCL's CEO to ensure necessary steps in this regard. It was decided in the meeting that Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, DHA and Cantonment Board should further coordinate in order to meet the required need of water to Cantonment. The Regional Director added that the modern hospital of 500 bed would be constructed in the Saddar Cantonment area whereas RO plants, desalination plants and waste water cycling plant are also being installed. Governor Sindh said that under the tree plantation campaign, to strengthen the city's beauty, ensure the cooperation and coordination of Cantonment Boards, KPT and Civil Aviation Authority.
