Sindh Police Spends Rs. 79.1 In Welfare Of Employees
KARACHI (Pir Bux Noonari): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam on Wednesday was informed in a report that Rs. 79.1 million were paid for welfare purpose to the widows of personnel, families of martyred and deceased employees and injured cops during the period January to March.
The report, compiled by Additional IGP (Welfare) Dr. Rizwan, said that as many as 5048 widows of martyrs of Sindh Police have been issued Rs. 77.1 online to their accounts.
According to the report 870 widows were given Rs. 63.6 million in respect of arrears and others.
The report said that Rs. 27 million were paid to the heirs and families of 5 martyred which include Traffic Sub-Inspector of Malir, a CTD Constable and constables of Kashmore, Sukkur and Thatta.
Sindh Police chief was further informed that Rs. 1.8 million were paid to the 6 employees passed away due to different diseases during the service which include employees from Hyderabad, Khairpur, Jamshoro, Dadu and SRP Base-II.
