COM KYC HELD MTG WITH KAMRAN LASHARI FOR CITY'S GLORY & BEAUTY DISCUSSES

KARACHI: Senior Bureaucrat Ex Chief Secretary Sindh  Director General Walled City Lahore Kamran Lashari met with the Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani at his office here. He remained with him for some time and discussed the matters of the mutual interests. Both they exchanged views and ideas for the beautification of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad cities with relation to cultural, heritage and History perspectives. The commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani welcomed him and lauded his bureaucratic services and  for the promotion of tourism, history development and beautification of Lahore and Islamabad cities during his service career and after that.

Later the Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani held a high level meeting, in this regard and apprised the Kamran Lashari about various steps taken for the restoration of the glory of the city. He said that the for the promotion of our tourism aspects and rich history , city was phased out into 3 Zones of Old, Up and down town respectively through public private partnership basis, restored the streets and building of the city in its original names with same traditional heritage, colors and beauty under heritage.

The Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani has further said that we are holding a “Karachi City Parade” on 14^th August besides to boost and restore the glory of famous trades Bras, Bottle and flower of the city would also be exhibited during next month of August.

DG Walled city Lahore Kamran Lashari has also thanked the Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani, for the working of the restoration of city’s glory and beautification and development. He has said that City has breathing space for the Cultural, heritage and history activities and had lot of work did here. This is the special moment for me to share the ideas and views as we have to develop a model  to devise a mechanism through team and  commendable work  for protection of the national heritage and restore our heritage and history properly to further develop and improve our cities and country as well. As we have Yasmeen Lari, Sharmeen Obiad Chinoy and others in their respective fields with their valuable services and contributions.

Mr Lashari elaborated his various projects in Islamabad and Lahore, has further said that through community involvement and social mobilization, we all are jointly work for the beauty and glory of our cities to aware our new generation about our history, civilization, and culture properly.

On the occasion, Renowned Architect Ms. Yasmin Lari, has also informed that we are working on many projects, with the support of the Government and the Commissioner Karachi, for restoration of City’s glory and beauty, has also restored Denso Hall and other sites of the city. Flow area Ratio(FAR) was incorporated in the Master Plan of the city through Law. She further said that  600 various building and sites were declared as cultural heritage in 1994 but uptill now 1600  buildings, sites and other places are included as National Heritage, which is a glad for all of us. Government of Sindh is working over Mapping the same, besides a Technical Advisory Committee and Group of Artisans are need of the hour to further working in this direction, she added.

Project Director Niaz Soomro ahs also briefed about various development works and initiatives taken by the Chief Minister Sindh for the progress and embossing of the city. He said that 37 development initiatives were made during 3 years with 7 main thoroughfare /roads were retained and made efforts on road network including signage, corridors, improvements etc. we had re-establish its glory of Empress Market and Jehnagir Park with 4000 Books in a old libarary and artificial and original zoo with birds and animals, he concluded. (Please send your news, article, pictorial on our email address <editor@enewspaper.com.pk & WhatsApp +923132434567)
