KARACHI- The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (UOK) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Al-Khawarazmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS), University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.This MoU aims to initiate official coordination between the two organizations especially in the field of genomics involved in cancer or other chronic diseases.The Spokesman of the ICCBS - the University of Karachi on Friday said that the MOU was signed in a ceremony held at the KICS-UET Lahore on Thursday (August 26, 2021). Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, and COMSTECH Coordinator-General, and KICS-UET Director Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood have signed the MOU on behalf of their institutions.According to the spokesman, both the institutions agreed to collaborate in various areas, including joint efforts for solving research problems especially in the field of genomics involved in cancer or other chronic diseases.
