PAJCCI’s Trade Delegation from Afghanistan will be a leap forward in consolidating bilateral economic ties: Muhammad Zubair


KARACHI: A high-level delegation of PAJCCI led by Mr. Khan Jan Alkozai, Co-President will arrive at Karachi on September 25, 2013 with the aim at exploring economic opportunities, according to a statement by President PAJCCI.

President Pakistan Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PAJCCI) Mohammad Zubair Motiwala briefed media pertaining to arrival of trade delegation from Afghanistan during September 25 – 29, 2013.

Outlining the details of the visit, he stated that “The prime objective of the visit is to provide an opportunity to the business across the border to interact with each other for transforming bilateral economic deals.”

The delegation consists of businessmen from different sectors such as Construction and Allied Material, Food, Agriculture and related Materials/Machinery, Auto Parts / Tires, Plastics, Electronics, Textile/ Garments / Fabrics, Service – Legal. Mr. Motiwala informed that PAJCCI would arrange a B2B match-making / networking meeting for the interaction of delegation with Pakistani business community on September 28, 2013. The delegation will also participate in ‘Expo Pakistan’ organized by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. PAJCCI will also have its booth at ‘Expo Pakistan’ from September 26-29, 2013.

President also highlighted that purpose of this unique international chamber is to ensure economic stability and enhance prospects for bilateral relations between the two nations and in such a short span of time the Chamber has been proactive in extending the support to business community in both the countries.

During the visit, PAJCCI will also have its 5th Board Meeting whereby as part of the agenda, board members would also deliberate upon feedback collected from stakeholders across the border pertaining to Afghan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA) 2010 for necessary resolutions.
