Pakistan export during nine months of the year 2011-12 decreased by 3 percent. The cumulative trade figure shows that Pakistan’s exports during July-March 2011-12 were US $ 17.19 billion, while in the corresponding period of the last year 2010-11 exports were $ 17.73 billion, which shows a little decline of 3 per cent. Imports during July-March 2011-12 were $ 33.285 billion as compared to $ 29.017 billion during the same period of the year 2010-11, registered a 14.71 percent growth.
On the other hand Pakistan’s exports during March 2012 were valued at US $ 2.001 billion which was 18.76% lower than the level of US$ 2.463 billion in during March 2011. Imports during March 2012 were valued at US $ 3.497 billion registering a growth of 2.34 per cent over the imports of US $ 3.417 billion in March 2011.
