KUALA LUMPUR (June 26, 2012): A Pakistan national and his two children were found dead after they were believed to have plunged from the 21st floor of a condominium block in Batu 9, Cheras tonight.
The bodies of Ismail Khan, 39, Mohd Faizal, nine, and six-year-old Aqsa Khan were found at the base of the Langat Jaya Condominium about 8.30pm.
A security guard stationed at the condominium block who stumbled on the bodies lodged a police report.
Kajang police chief ACP Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said initial investigations revealed that Ismail Khan who had been jobless for the past three years, often quarreled with his wife when she told him to be responsible and carry out his duties as head of the family.
He said the wife, who worked as a senior executive, stayed on her own at another location.
“She had filed for divorce last year and the case was scheduled to come up for hearing in August,” he added.
Ab Rashid said Ismail Khan who stayed with his children in a unit on the fifth floor of the condominium block, was believed to have taken the children to the top floor before the fatal plunge as a school bag belonging to one of the children was found there.
“Ismail Khan’s wife had lodged a police report last year, stating that he had once taken the children to the 21st floor and threatened to commit suicide,” he said. – Bernama (The Sun Daily – Thanks)
