Karachi September 4: Pakistan Women’s team would be providing specialized Bridge training programme by Expert Tahir Masood, who also led Pakistan in the Bermuda Bowl — World Championship Bridge Championship held in the Netherlands in 2011, will provide training to the women’s team.

Mr. Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur, President, Pakistan Bridge Federation has approved the partial expenses of the training costs.
 
MSAP is providing the technical assistance and management for the Seven-day training programme starting daily from tomorrow at MSAP Office from 3PM to 7PM.
 
Pakistan women’s bridge team created history by winning the 17th BFAME Women’s Bridge Championships in Ahmedabad, India a few months ago.
 
The Rubina Agha-led Pakistan women’s team won their maiden BFAME crown by beating favourites and hosts India by 94-53 International Match Points (IMPs) in the final in Ahmedabad.
By virtue of that victory, they qualified for the 41st edition of World Bridge Team Championships i.e. the 19th Venice Cup scheduled to be held in Bali, Indonesia from Sept 16 to 29.
Besides Rubina Agha, others who are part of the winning squad included the highest WBF acclaimed Zeenat Azwer, Roshan Ara Bokhari and includes three generation Qudsia Dossa (Grand Mother), Rubina Saeed Hai (Daughter) and Fatima Raza (Grand Daughter).
According to details provided by the World Bridge Federation, overall 22 nations are taking part in Women’s Venice Cup. Pakistan women’s team will launch their campaign with the opening match against Poland.
