Pakistan’s Envoy Jamil Ahmed Khan received a group of visiting journalists at the Embassy and discussed further acknowledging Expats’ contributions
“Our community is the oldest one in the UAE and has made remarkable contributions in strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two brotherly countries,” remarked Ambassador Khan.
Abu Dhabi //“Pakistani community in the Emirates has contributed tremendously to the economic uplift of Pakistan byinfusing their hearts and souls for the progress and development of the UAE.That is why Pakistanis settled here are central to the evergreen and fraternal bonds of friendship between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi. Their dedication in bringing the two brotherly countries closer than ever must be acknowledged.” This expression of acknowledgement came from Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE Jamil Ahmed Khan while receiving a group of visiting journalists at the Embassy.
Senior journalist Mr. Hamid Saeed Rajput was leading the group of newspersons who called on Pakistan’s envoy and,during the course of exchanges, discussedpotential initiatives to further highlight the achievements of Pakistani community and it’s role in the development and progress of the Emirates.
One of the proposals put on the table looked into the possibility ofstationing Pakistan Television (PTV) correspondent in the UAE to cover the successesof Pakistani community.The visitors also discussed establishing a dedicated Urdu TV channel to keep the community informed about socio-political developments taking place in Pakistan.The exchanges also examined publishing a compendium of successful Pakistanis, coupledwith documentary production on the role of Pakistani diaspora in the success of the UAE.
“I appreciate these proposals. Our community is the oldest one in the UAE and has made remarkable contributions in strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two brotherly countries,”remarked Ambassador Khan.He assured the visiting journalists that his office would take the lead in forwardingtheaforesaid proposals to the Pakistan’s Federal Minister for InformationBroadcasting Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira, along with his recommendations. “This would be another step in galvanizing the overseas Pakistanis in the Emirates with the latest activities in Pakistan.”
