KARACHI (PR): 8th National Women Football Championship-2012 will commence on 28th September 2012 at Islamabad. Sixteen teams from all over Pakistan shall participate in the championship. This championship has been divided in four different groups. These details were express by General Secretary Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Lt. Col. ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodi TI (M) during the press briefing at Media Centre of Jinnah Football Stadium, Islamabad.
According to the press release issued here by PFF, during the press briefing Wing Cmd ® Pervaiz Saeed Mir, Director Development & Competition PFF, Mrs. Rubina Irfan, Chairman Women Committee and Dr. Fazal-ur-Rehman, President Islamabad Football Federation (IFA) were also preset. During the press briefing Mr. Lodhi disclosed that from tomorrow championship will commence at Jinnah Football Stadium Islamabad. Opening ceremony of the championship will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 PM. In group A Wapda, Punjab, the City School Karachi and Balochistan, in group B Army, Sindh, AJK and School of Economics, in Group C HEC, Khyber Pakhtoonwah, Islamabad and Young Rising Rawalpindi and in Group Diya Women Football Club Karachi, Balochistan, Fata and Vehari Football Club are included.
The Prize Money of the 8th National Women Football Championship-2012 is Rs. 3,00,000/- for winning team with trophy, Runner Up Rs. 2,00,000/ with trophy, Third Position holder Rs. 1,50,000/- with trophy, Fair Play Rs. 40,000/- with trophy, best goal keeper Rs. 40,000/- with trophy best player of the Championship Rs. 25,000/- with Misha Dawood Trophy and Maximum Goal Scorer Rs. 40,000/- with trophy. PFF has also introduced the Best Refree award of Rs. Rs. 30,000/- and Best Assistant Referee (Female) Rs. 15,000/-.
Moreover, first time Match Bonus System has also been introduced by PFF in the Women Championship which will encourage the players and officials of the participating teams. Each league in group stage has a match bonus of Pak Rs.15, 000/-. Rs. 10, 000- will be awarded to winner team, Rs. 5, 000/- for looser team and in case of draw Pak Rs. 7, 500/- for both teams. Pak Rs. 1, 500 will be awarded to best player of the match and best goal scorer for each match. However it will not be out of place to mention here that for quarter finals the match value has been fixed at Rs. 20, 0000/-, out of which the winner will get Rs. 12, 500/- and looser team 7, 500/-. Similarly the semi finals has been fixed at Rs. 25, 000/- for each match in which winner team will get Rs. 15, 000/- and looser team Rs. 10, 000/-. Technical Study Group (TSG) has been detained to select the best scorer and best player of each match.
Mr. Lodhi reiterated that PFF is putting all its energy in the development of the youth.This gesture will encourage the players to put in their best efforts in the game and bring credit to the nation. The announcement by the president PFF has been welcomed whole heartedly by the participating teams and football lovers all over the country. They feel that increased Prize Money and incentives will be beneficial for the promotion of the game of football lovers of Pakistan.
