KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA) Dr. Kaiser Waheed along with other office-bearers of the association has greeted the newly elected President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry Zubair F. Tufail, its Senior Vice-President Aamer Ata Bajwa, Vice-President Mirza Ishtiaq Baig and other freshly chosen office-bearers of the federation.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the PPMA Chairman Dr. Kaiser Waheed eulogized leadership and patronage extended by SM Muneer, who is chief executive officer of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and also patron-in-chief of United Business Group, for the businessmen fraternity of the country at large.
The PPMA chairman said that Mr. Muneer and his team had brought transparency in affairs of the federation and also rendered effective performance of the federation.
He expressed hope that newly elected executive committee of FPCCI under the guidance of Mr. S.M Muneer would play an effective role in resolving issues of business and industries’ sectors in general especially the problems faced by the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Waheed said that in the present scenario the Pharmaceutical sector of the country had been passing through a crisis-like situation due to ill-advised and business unfriendly policies and regime of governance imposed by Ministry of National Health Services and by Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan.
