SINDH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT BELIEVES IN SUPREMACY OF MERIT – PIR MAZHAR UL HAQ

Karachi, April 25: Sindh Minister for Education Pir Mazhar ul Haq has said that Sindh Education Department believes in supremacy of merit. With the support of World Bank 19 thousand teachers are being recruited on merit basis to cope up with the shortage of the teachers in the province and to eradicate unemployment as well. Advertisements have been given in this regard. This he said in a statement issued here on Wednesday.

            He said that keeping in view the problems of jobless youth, Sindh Education Department had reduced form fee from Rs. 300 to Rs.30 and these were the bank processing charges while Sindh Education Department would get no benefit from the said amount. Minister for Education added that the purpose of form fee was to make the whole process transparent and the form fee was being taken on the suggestion of World Bank.

            He said, ‘Teacher vacancies will be filled on Union Level and where there is no vacancy in the Union, no form will be received for such union’. He said that those who were against the reforms of Sindh Education Department were making hue and crying for nothing . He advised the candidates for the teachers’ jobs that they should not pay attention on rumours, trust in education department, because these vacancies would be filled on purely merit basis.

CAMP COURT OF APPELLATE TRIBUNAL LOCAL COUNCILS SINDH FIXED ON MAY 5, 2012 AT HYDERABAD

Karachi, April 25: Syed Aley Maqbool Rizvi, Chairman / Judge , Appellate Tribunal Local Councils, Sindh will hear appeals pertaining to Municipal Corporations, Municipal Committees, Town Committees, District Councils and Union Councils of the District Hyderabad / District Sanghar on 5th May 2012 at 9.00 a.m. at the Tribunal at District Sessions Court, Hyderabad.

            The Appellate Tribunal Local Councils Sindh, is a (Judicial Forum) which has been hearing the appeals relating to Municipal Jurisdiction under the provision of the Section-108 of the Sindh (Repeal of the Sindh Local Government Ordinance, 2001 and Revival of the Sindh Local Government Ordinance, 1979) Act 2011 (Municipal Law) Read with the Rule-4 of the Sindh Councils (Appeals) Rules.

SEMINAR ON “ISSUES/ PROBLEMS OF GOVERNMENT SERVANTS / PENSIONERS” ON APRIL 29

Karachi, April 25: All Pakistan Government/Civil Servants Pensioners Association has organized a one day Seminar on issues/problems of government servants/pensioners at 11.00 a.m. on 29th April 2012 at village Mithri Khairpur Mirs. The Association Chairman Gul Muhammad Hajano has said that seminars aimed to evolve recommendations to government for incorporating in the budget 2012-13.

SINDH GOVERNMENT PROHIBITS REAL STATE AGENTS/PROPERTY DEALER TO RENT ANY PROPERTY  WITHOUT VERIFICATION

Karachi, April 25: The Government of Sindh has prohibited to rent any plot of land residential house, bungalows, apartments/flats to any customers without following conditions by Real Estate Agents/Property Dealers in whole Province of Sindh with immediate effect and till further order:-

(i)     Verification of credentials/CINC of Tenants of property/accommodation through NADRA and registration at local Police Station and Union Council are mandatory for Owner and Property Dealer; (ii) Tenant antecedents check is mandatory with specific focus on the address history, employment history and, Criminal record (if any).

            According to an order issued by home Department Sindh, the local Police shall carry out the aforementioned verification and in case of any lapse/incident, area SHO will be held responsible.

            Further, the Tenant of the property, agent/broker/sponsor and the property owner shall be solely held responsible for any hiring without the said verification; (iv) renting a property for residential purpose without rental agreement will be considered an office; (v) preference shall be given to families for the purpose of hiring, and discouraging single/unmarried individuals who may have accommodation issues; (vi) in case of foreigners, it will be mandatory for the Owners to attach a copy of passport of the individual to whom the place is being rented along with the letter of employment from Firm/NGO/Embassy etc; to infer purpose of foreigner’s stay. Copy of National Identity Card of the Sponsor/Real Estate Agent shall also be required; (vii) At least two persons from the neighborhood shall vouch for the credibility of the   tenants, for a period of one month; (viii) all property Dealers shall be registered; and (ix) no property i.e. Residential Flat/Bungalow/open plot shall be rented to any     foreign National or a person not holding CNIC issued by NADRA without            NOC/Clearance Certificate3 from Government of Sindh, Home Department,    Karachi.

           The order added that the Police Officers upto the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector of concerned Police Station have been authorized to register the complaints under Section 188 PPC in writing for the violation of Section 144 Cr. P.C. against the violators of the order.

MoU SIGNED TO PROVIDE FAST TRACK PAYMENT FACILITY TO BBSYDP TRAINEES

Karachi, April 25: The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed youth Development program (BBSYDP) has once again taken a step ahead to facilitate the youths of the Sindh province under BBSYDP Trainees to disburse them stipends through fast track system on line banking facility. In this regard, Provincial Coordinator BBSYDP Kareem Bakhsh Siddiqui and the Regional Chief Karachi south of the Habib Bank Limited Mr Salman Razzaq today signed the Contract between both organizations here at BBSYDP PCU.

              The Mou is signed after the finalization of Contract in a meeting of Provincial Steering Committee (PSC) held under the Chairmanship of the Additional Chief secretary (Development) Planning & Development department Sindh Malik Asrar Hussain on February 27.

            According to details, the BBSYDP has been imparting training to un- employed and un-skilled youth of the province in different trades. The stipends were given manually in past but due to the present era demand the online fast track banking system has been introduced for the first time by the BBSYDP for their trainees to disburse the stipends transparently with such facility including 10 leaves free cheque book and ATM card free of cost to every trainee at their respective institute and trainees will be informed through SMS in this regard.

           On the occasion Deputy Provincial Coordinators BBSYDP Khalid Abdullah Chachar, Zubair Pervez and representatives of HBL were present.
