Karachi, July 17: The Honourable Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Karachi has ordered that Ms. Hafiza Usman, District & Sessions Judge (BS-21) to join her new assignment as Judge, Banking Court-II, Karachi with immediate effect.

Karachi, July 17: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Information Ms. Sharmila Faruqui has said that Sindh Government has taken emergency measures to cope up with expected rains and floods in the province and repair at LBOD has been completed while all breaches have also been filled and Rs. 1500 million have been spent in this regard. This she said while addressing as chief guest here at local hotel in a seminar organized by an NGO on devastating floods in Sindh.
She said that usually 127 millimeter rains was expected in Sindh and for current monsoon 155 millimeter to 200 millimeter rains were expected. Sindh Government had taken comprehensive steps to face any natural disaster in Sindh. She added, ‘President Asif Ali Zardari is fully satisfied with the measures taken by provincial government.’ Relief and rehabilitation ministries have also been established to redress the problems of the flood affected people.
Sharmila said that certain embankments had been declared sensitive. Sindh Government took appropriate measures to rehabilitate flood affected people. Women were provided vocational training so that they could provide support to their families. Flood affected farmers were given seeds, fertilizers and other facilities to them.
On this occasion, provincial minister for Women Development Touqeer Fatima Bhutto said that Sindh Government was fully aware of the situation and ready to face any challenge. She said that Women Development Department was very active after floods and initiated many programs to empower women in the society. Dr. Qaiser Bengali and others also spoke on the occasion.

DURING THE HOLY RAMZAN SASTTA ATTA AVAILABLE IN WEEKLY BACHAT BAZAAR

Karachi, July 17: On the directives of Chief Minister Sindh through out the month of Ramzan “Sastta Atta” and others goods should be provided in weekly bachat bazaar in cheapest rate. In this connection Secretary, S&PD, the Director BSP Mr. Jameel Hassan hold a meeting with the organizers of all weekly bachat bazaars and emphasis that all the bachat bazaars should be established by approved lay out plan, in which enough space should be provided to the fruit, vegetables and Sasta Atta stall on the occasion of holy Ramzan he strictly directed that there must be established compliant center and price list must be displayed properly so that it can be easily visible to the general public. It is also directed to the organizers should approach to the Managing Director of Utilities Store Corporation for established these shall so that during the month of Holy Ramzan general public could get goods on cheapest price.

INCREASE IN PENSION TO CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT

Karachi, July 17: Government of Sindh has notified an increase 20% of net pension with effect from 1st July 2012, All the Civil Pensioners of the Sindh Government will get the pension at the following rate 15 % increase in pension allowed to the new pensioners who retired on or after July 1, 2012.
Net pension means pension being drawn minus “Medical Allowance which shall be continued to be admissible at the level of its admissibility as on 30.6.2012.
The increase will be admissible on family pension granted under the pension cum gratuity scheme.
The increase in pension sanctioned in this O.M. will not be admissible on Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement orderly allowance.
The benefit of increase in pension sanctioned in the O.M. will also be admissible to those Civil Pensioners of the Provincial Government who are residing abroad (other than those residing in India and Bangladesh) who retired on or after 15.08.1947 and are not entitled to, or are not in receipt of pension increase under the British Government’s Pension (increase) Acts. The payment will be made at the applicable rate of exchange.

CHIEF MINISTER SINDH HAS DIRECTED TO ESTABLISH PRICE CONTROL CELL

Karachi, July 17: Chief Minister Sindh has ordered to establish price control cell in view of forth coming holy month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak. Government of Sindh has notified price control cell under the supervision of Additional Secretary (Coordination) in order to provide relief to the general public.
The cell will be functional on round the clock basis to monitor the issues related to the price control of the essential commodities through out the province. The Cell will be in contact with Commissioners of concerned Districts. A comprehensive daily report will be submitted to the Chief Minister Sindh to keep him updated about the progress.
Following officers, who are already posted at Public Complaint Cell (919), are hereby assigned to perform their duties in the aforementioned Cell, in addition to their own duties as per following schedule/mechanism.

CAPRA AEGAGRUS BLACK PARTRIDGE DECLARED AS PROVINCIAL MAMMAL, BIRD OF SINDH

Karachi, July 17: Government of Sindh Forest and Wildlife Department has issued a notified regarding declaration of Animals of Sindh “Sindh Ibex” Capra aegagrus (Provincial Mammal “Mammal of Sindh”) and “Black Partridge” Francolinus (Provincial “Bird of Sindh”).
