144 IMPOSED ON CARRYING  WEAPONS

Karachi, October 24: Home Department Government of Sindh under section 144 of the Cr. P.C. has ordered that all permission for carrying of weapons issued in relaxation of ban under section 144 Cr. P.C. for three (30 days with effect from 27th to 29th October, 2012 I the Province of Sindh, with a view to ensure fool proof security during Eid-ul-Azha.

            Consequently, there will be a complete ban on carrying of all type of weapons including licensed weapons.

            The Police Officers upto the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector of concerned Police Station has been authorized to register the complaints under section 188 PPC in writing for the violation of Section 144 Cr. P.C. against the violators of order.

APTTA 2010 RESOLUTIONS PRESENTED AT APTTCA MEETING BY PAJCCI PAKISTAN AFGHANISTAN JOINT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY (PAJCCI):

Karachi, October 24: In context with PAJCCI’s initiative to review APTTA 2010 for the mutual benefit of business entities in both the countries, a review meeting of stakeholders was conducted by both Pakistan and Afghanistan Chapters of PAJCCI during the month of September 2012. The motive was to acquire first hand feedback from the business community with respect to difficulties faced by them during bi-lateral trade between the two countries.

A feedback draft prepared by both the chapters was presented during PAJCCI’s 3rd Board Meeting at Kabul, Afghanistan on October 9, 2012. In the meeting, members from both the sides under visionary leadership of President PAJCCI, Mr. Muhammad Zubair Motiwala and Co-President, Mr. Khan Jan Alkozai amicably resolved those issues which were pending since long between the two countries. With the foresight to sort out concerns of business communities across the border, the board unanimously agreed on 8 most important resolutions relating to the most pressing issues of insurance and bank guarantees, responsibility of bonded carriers, installation of trackers and chips, relaxation in detention charges with respect to Shipping, issues related to partial and delayed shipment, problems with respect to physical inspection, hindrances in process of amendments and allowing Afghan trucks to reach Wagah border.

These resolutions were also shared with Ministry of Commerce, Afghanistan and were greatly appreciated by Mr. Mozammil Shinwari, Deputy Minister for Commerce & Industry, Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The resolutions were presenting a form of unanimously agreed concept paper by the board members of PAJCCI (from both the chapters)at the 3rd meeting of APTTCA held in Islamabad on October 11 and 12, 2012.

The meeting was headed by Mr.Fazal Abbas Maken, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Mr. Mozammil Shinwari, Deputy Minister for Commerce & Industry, Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. As an outcome of the deliberations held during APTTCA meeting, several pending issues were resolved in a congenial manner.

Most importantly on the request of Afghan side for facilitation of Afghan importers in clearance of their transit consignments at Karachi, Pakistan side agreed to constitute a Committee comprising Custom officials, Afghan Commercial attaché at Karachi, and two representatives of PAJCCI (one each from Afghanistan and Pakistan) for resolving operational issues.

SHARIF BROTHERS TO BE GIVEN ‘B’ CLASS FACILITIES IN JAIL- SHARJEEL INAM MEMON

Karachi, October 24: Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Jail is the next destiny of Sharif Brothers and if they are brought to any Jail of Sindh, they will be given facilities of class B, Besides this spray will also be done to protect them from Dengue fever. This he said in a statement issued here on Wednesday. He said that it is hoped that this time they would not weep in the prison and would not disturb the other prisoners.

            Mr. Memon added, ‘After the verdict in “Asghar Khan petition”, Nawaz Sharif and PML (N) fear that their real faces have unveiled before the masses and in coming general elections they will definitely face defeat.’ Provincial Minister said that Court verdict regarding rigging in 1990 elections, it had proved that Nawaz Sharif in lust of power and pelf, he disgraced the mandate of the 18 crore people and pocketed billion rupees through forgery.

            He said, ‘More investigation and probe will ensure prison to Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and this time no one will stop Nawaz Sharif to go to behind the bars.’ Minister for Information requested Election Commission of Pakistan to disqualify Nawaz Sharif who became Prime Minister by forgery in elections, this action of Election Commission would restore the sanctity of the votes.

            He also said that now Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif were not Sadiq (True) and Ameen (trustworthy) any more. He (Nawaz Sharif) earned money through rigging and lost his respect and bulldozed the mandate of the people.

MINIMUM WAGES FOR ADULT UNSKILLED AND JUVENILE WORKERS ARE RS.8000/-

Karachi, October 24: Secretary Labour Arif Elahi has said that Chief Minister Sindh announced the enhancement of the wages of unskilled workers from Rs.7000/- to Rs. 8000/- per month on 1st May 2012 on the occasion of Labour day. Besides this Sindh Minimum Wages Board has recommended the said wages for different categories of workers employed in 41 industries. This he stated in a notification issued here. It is further stated that the scheduled of minimum rates of wages for the all adult unskilled and juvenile workers employed in all industrial/ commercial establishments , undertakings in the province of Sindh will be Rs.8000/- which are registered under any law and shall pay wages to the employees through cross cheque/ bank transfer.

COMPLETE BAN ON ILLEGAL EXCAVATION/ LIFTING OF SAND, HILL – SAND & PRECIOUS STONES FROM AND WITHIN THE REVENUE LIMITS OF DISTRICT THATTA

Karachi, October 24: Home Department, Government of Sindh has under section 144 Cr. P.C. imposed complete ban on illegal excavation/ lifting of Sand, Hill – sand & precious Stones from and within the revenue limits of District Thatta for a period of thirty (30) days with immediate effect.

            The Police officers from the rank of Assistant Sub- Inspector of concerned Police Station are hereby authorized to register the complaints under Section 188 PPC in writing for the violation of Section 144 Cr. P.C. against the violators of this order.
