DEMOCRATIC NORMS TO BE PROMOTED TO ERADICATE EXTREMISM – MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA
Karachi, September 06: Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation, Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that those who dream to defect to Pakistan Peoples Party in general elections, they live in fools’ paradise. This he said while talking to different delegations here in his office on Thursday. He said that those who were making funs regarding rigging in elections, they were planning to do so themselves. On one hand they were trying to defame media and on the other hand they were criticizing the democratic government for nothing.
He said, ‘Pakistan Peoples Party is a democratic party. We follow democratic values and norms. Due to political reconciliation policy of President Asif Ali Zardari, democratic institutions have got strength in the country’. He added, ‘Today democratic institutions are strong. Millions of employment opportunities are created due to democratic process. Economy stability is also intended’.
Provincial Minister said that PPP had always come into power through vote power. Those who had entered through back doors, always damaged the reputation of country. Undemocratic attitude had created the trends of terrorism and extremism.
Mukesh Kumar said that it was the need of the hour that democratic norms should be promoted to eradicate terrorism and extremism in the society. Democracy created employment opportunities and prosperity.
He requested all democracy loving forces to foil ulterior motives of undemocratic forces and strengthen democratic institutions in the country.
