SINDH PRISON MINISTER APPROVED RS.43,00,000 AS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE 11 FAMILIES OF DECEASED EMPLOYEES OF PRISONS DEPARTMENT

Karachi, September 20: Sindh Minister for Law & Prisons Muhammad Ayaz Soomro has approved Rs.43,00,000/- as financial assistance to the families of 11 employees of Prisons Department who expired during service, including Superintendents Sikandar Ali Baloch and Abu Bakar Shaikh Rs.800,000/- each , while Head Warder, Falak Sher s/o Muhammad Khan, OG Warder, Muhammad Ali s/o Muhammad Ayoub, OG Warder, Muhammad Yaseen s/o Noor Muhammad, OG Warder, Ghulam Nabi s/o Shamsuddin, Head Warder, M. Zafar Lodhi s/o Naik Muhammad, S.G. Warder, Allah Dino s/o Muhammad Malook, O.G. Warder, Ali Ahmed s/o Gul Sher Bhutto, OG Warder, Shah Muhammad s/o Ghulam Hyder and Pump Mechanic  Muhammad Ali s/o Lal Bux Bhatti, Rs.300,000/- each.

            Muhammad Ayaz Soomro has directed the Secretary Prisons for completion  of codal formalities as earlier as possible so that distribution of financial assistance cheques to be ensured  among inheritors of deceased employees of the prisons Department Sindh.

MR. NISAR AHMED KHUHRO SPEAKER SINDH ASSEMBLY HAS ASSUMED THE CHARGE OF HIS OFFICE

Karachi, September 20: Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh has come back from visit of Colombo, Sri Lanka and Bangkok and has assumed the charge of the office of the Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh with effect from after-noon of 19th September 2012.

Meanwhile Madam Syeda Shehla Raza, Acting Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh has assumed the charge of the office of the Deputy Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh with effect from after-noon of 19th September 2012.

LIVESTOCK OWNERS MUST BE CAUTIOUS OF SPREAD OF DISEASES – DIRECTOR ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

Karachi, September 20: The Director Animal Husbandry Sindh, Hyderabad has informed  to the Livestock owners/ Maldars/ Farmers regarding the probable prevalence & possibilities of spread of following diseases in animal during the 4th quarter (October 2012 to December 2012).

            According to details large animals (Cattle & Buffaloes) might be affected by Haemorrhagic septicemia & symptoms will be high temperature difficulty in breathing off feed and Oedematous swelling of throat. These diseases could be spread throughout Sindh province.

            Besides, another disease Foot & Mouth may also spread and its symptoms will be profuse salivation, High Temperature , off feed, lameness, vesicles on tongue and its prevalence might be in Karachi / Tharparkar/ Hyderabad/ Tando Allah Yar , Tando Muhammad Khan/ Matiari/ Larkana, Kambar @Shahdadkot/ Jacobabad & Kashmore @ Kandhkot.

            Whereas in small animals (sheep & goat) there could be Entero Toxaemia with high temperature , tympanites, Bloody diahorrhea in Sindh.

Moreover, there might occur Contagious Pleuro Pneumonia (CCP) with high temperature, cough , nasal discharge , off feed & groaning in whole province & Paste de petites Ruminanat (PPR) might happen in coming days with temperature , karatitis, nasal discharge, diahorrhea, lesion on gum & tongue & sudden death.

            All livestock owners have been advised to get their animals vaccinated against above contagious diseases from nearest veterinary hospital/ dispensary/ veterinary centre.

NO NEGLIGENCE TO BE TOLERATED IN RELIEF WORK- MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA

Karachi, September 20: Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that relief work is in progress in rain – affected districts of Sindh. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has issued strict directives to complete relief work in time. This he said while talking to various delegations here in camp office on Thursday.

            He said that during his Sindh visit President Asif Ali Zardari had issued directives to help out fully and timely to rain-hit people of Sindh. The people of Sindh would not be left alone in this difficult time. Whole Pakistan was with them. Provincial Minister added ‘All worst affected districts including Kashmore, Kandhkot are being provided ration, medicines, tents and other commodities to rain affected people. People have been shifted to safer places.’

            Mukesh Kumar Chawla said that rain water was being drained out present democratic government was following vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and serving the masses.

            He said, ‘Those who criticize the government have no value in the eyes of the masses. People of Pakistan are with Pakistan Peoples Party.’
