WORK ON WIDENING OF MAIN HAWKSBAY ROAD STARTS TO FACILITATE PICNIC GOERS AND POPULATION IN AN AROUND HAWKSBAY SCHEME -42-AGHA MAQSOOD ABBAS
Karachi September 26: The Lyari Development Authority has started work on widening of 7.89 Kilometer main Hawksbay Road which will help facilitate inhabitants living in the area as well as reduce traffic congestions for picnic goers heading to Hawksbay and Sandspit beaches.
The Director General Lyari Development Authority Agha Maqsood Abbas has reviewed the different infrastructure development works being carried out in the Hawksbay Scheme 42 at a high level meeting held here at his office which was attended by the senior engineers and officers of the Authority.
Under the scheme, total reservation of Main Hawksbay Road is 300 feet and existing 48 feet wide dual carriage way will be turn to 96 feet wide dual carriage way.
The meeting was informed that on completion f this widening and improvement of main Hawksbay Road, the people visiting Sandspit and Paradise Point and living in and around Hawksbay will have modern road facilities thereby reducing the travelling period form city to hawksbay Scheme 42.
The Sewerage work on 140 Kilometer has already been completed while the work on 6.25 Kilometer is in progress, the meeting told. Besides, out of 15 culverts, 14 have been completed and the work on remaining one culvert is going on.
The meeting was informed that infrastructure work of 15.33 kilometer storm water drains has been completed while on remaining 1.75 kilometer will be completed shortly.
The Director General Agha Maqsood Abbas has urged the engineers that they should adopt all possible measures to speed up all the infrastructure development works and ensure the quality of work according to international standards.
AGITATION AGAINST GOVERNMENT WILL NEVER GET SUCCESS – JAM MEHTAB
Karachi September 26: Provincial Minister for Revenue Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that due to sincere efforts of present government democratic institutions have become strong. Democratic process has given political stability to the country. All coalition partners are with the government due to political reconciliation policy of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari. This he said while talking to media men here at his office on Wednesday. He said that those who are agitating against government would never get success. People knew their faces. Pakistan Peoples party had never disappointed its voters and masses as well. Provincial Minister added, ‘Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif have been rejected by the people. They should blame government but to mend their ways.’ To a question he said that relief work was in progress in rain-hit areas and no negligence would be tolerated in relief work. He said that the next general elections would prove that people are with Pakistan Peoples Party. Those who are agitating against government are trying to make the people fool.
SUMMARY FOR UPGRADATION AND INCREASE IN ALLOWANCE OF COLLEGE TEACHERS TO CHIEF MINISTER SINDH- PIR MAZHAR UL HAQ
Karachi September 26: Provincial Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazhar ul Haq has said that besides college teachers’ promotion, increase in their Ph.D Allowance , increase Principals’ allowance and other facilities will be provided to them in order to enhance standard of education in the province and these steps will develop the confidence of the people on the government. This he said while talking to a delegation of SPLA here at his office.
On this occasion Central General Secretary Professor Muhammad Rfique Unar, Profesor Shafkat Jokhio, Shah Jehan Panhwar, Feroze Siddiqui, Kareem Narejo, Altaf Memon and Qurban Bozdar were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting he directed Secretary Education to move summary to Chief Minister Sindh for upgradation of college teachers. He also said to award promotion to grade 17, 18 and 19 teachers according to their seniority list. Provincial Minister for Education also promised to send summary to Chief Minister Sindh for increase in Ph.D allowance from 5000 to 10000 while Principals’ allowance from 600 to 4000 rupees. He advised the teachers community to perform their duties honestly in order to enhance quality of education in the province and increase enrollment in colleges.
SINDH GOVERNMENT TAKING ALL EFFORTS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE
Karachi, September 25: The Spokesman of Sindh Chief Minister has said that Sindh Government is taking all efforts for good governance in the province and the news regarding bad governance in the province are baseless.
This he said in a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that Sindh Government already complying with the orders of Supreme Court has sent back officers who were working on deputation to their actual post of working. He added that new Sindh Civil Servants (Amendment) 2012 would be used in the interest of the province if it is needed the Officers would be transferred/posted where they are needed most and all transparency would be maintained in this regard.
He said that no political pressure would be accepted in this regard and decision would be taken in the interest people of the Sindh.
SENIOR MINISTER IS INTERESTED IN THE WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE
Karachi, September 25: The Spokes person for Senior Minister for Education & Literacy Pir Mazharul Haq has clarified a news item which appeared in a section of press that Senior Minister has moved a summary to Chief Minister Sindh regarding provision of parodo vehicle for his visits to Dadu.
The spokes person said that it was an old summary and Senior Minister keeping in view the financial crisis in Sindh Government return the section amount and allocated the same amount for cleanliness Dadu District. On the request of Senior Minister, the Chief Minister Sindh directed Chief Secretary Sindh and Secretary Finance to allocate the said amount as per the desire of Senior Minister for cleanliness and purchasing of machinery for sanitary works to Taluka Municipal Administration Dadu. He added that the vehicle which was in the use of Senior Minister was bought in the period of then Minister Education Hamida Khuhro and once it also met an accident. The spokes person said that Senior Minister for Education was much interested in the welfare of the people constituency and certain elements wanted to defame him to gain their ulterior motives but the would never get success.
