RELIEF WORK IN FULL SWING DESPITE LIMITED RESOURCES – MUKESH KUMAR CHAWLA

Karachi September 28:   Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that government is helping out rain affected people despite limited resources relief work is in progress. This he said while talking to media visiting rain hit areas of Kashmore here on today. On this occasion Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation also distributed relief goods including food stuff, pure drinking water, medicines and other stuffs among rain affected people. He said that opposition was doing nothing to provide relief to rain hit people, on the other hand they were just issuing statements while Pakistan Peoples Party was serving masses in true sense. Opposition was afraid of Pakistan Peoples Party’s Government and services and criticizing PPP for nothing.

            Mukesh Kumar Chawla said, ‘Present Government has committed to safeguard the rights of minorities given in Pakistan Constitution. Worship places of minorities are protected.’ He added that the role of minorities in progress of Pakistan was undeniable and these minorities working with majority were playing their due role in the development of Pakistan. While appreciating the measures of government taken for safeguarding the rights of minorities he requested the members of minority communities not to heed towards rumours and trust in government fully because it was working for their welfare.

ANCIENT AND HISTORICAL EDUCATIONAL BUILDINGS TO BE LOOKED AFTER WELL – PIR MAZHAR UL HAQ

 Karachi September 28:   Senior Minister for Education & Literacy Pir Mazhar ul Haq has said that Sindh government has taken special initiatives to look after ancient and historical educational institutions in the province. This he said while paying surprise visit to  Government Secondary School, Jacob Line. On this occasion Senior Officers of Education Department were with Minister for Education. He said that the school was basically a Military Barrack before partition and after partition it was converted into education building. In past it was badly neglected by the previous government however present government was paying full attention towards its rehabilitation. On this occasion Senior Minister said that eight crore fifty lacs rupees had been allocated in ADP and with this amount rehabilitation work of the school would be completed. He directed the officers concerned to start construction work of the building before 30th October.

            It is also noted that on the way to return to Secretariat Senior Minister for Education found that someone hit a milk man and his motorcycle was lying on the road and  its all milk wasted due to accident. Pir Mazhar ul Haq gave him certain amount to compensate his loss and dispersed the crowd who gathered there.
