Karachi (PR): Athar Hussain Khokhar, Director (Expo Pakistan) held meetings with Associations/Chambers at Sialkot and briefed them on this mega event. He was accompanied by Riaz Ahmed, Director, TDAP, Lahore and Basit Rauf, Director, TDAP, Sialkot. Director Expo Pakistan gave detailed presentation on the EXPO Pakistan 2013, its history, concept, features and the logistics pertaining to the event.

The first meeting was held with Surgical Instrument Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP). The Chairman SIMAP appreciated the efforts of TDAP and made request that our Missions in Central Asian States and African countries may be focused as these are potential markets for surgical instruments and for pharma sector. He also confirmed that SIMAP will manage their own customize pavilion during the event with participation of 12 to 15 exhibitors from surgical sector.

The Second meeting was held with Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PGMEA). Mr. Khurram Azeem Khan, Chairman, PGMEA, appreciated the effort and expected that Expo Pakistan will not only help in meeting in export target but also it will provide opportunity to the new exporters for meeting with buyers at door step. The Chairman (PGMEA) also made request that participation in the international exhibitions may be increased. The Chairman reassured large scale participation of gloved association in the event. Meeting was attended by large number of PGMEA members. / TDAP

The Third meeting was held with Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI). Kashif Almas, Vice President, SCCI assured that Sialkot Chamber will try to increase participation of SME sector in the exhibitions as it will provide them platform to meet with buyers at their door step. He also emphasized that buyers may also visit other cities of the Pakistan too after the event.

The fourth meeting was held with Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PSGA), Sialkot, Muhammad Iqbal Saleemi, Chairman, PSGA, emphasized for inviting buyers related with sports industry from Brazil as Football world cup is scheduled in 2015 at Brazil. He also emphasized that buyers from Central Asian States and South America may be focused as there is lot of potential in these regions. Director Expo Pakistan informed that major chain stores are expected to visit the event, therefore, it is a good opportunity for our sports industry to participate at full scale in the event. The Chairman PSGA assured full participation in the event. The meeting was attended by PSGA members.
