Karachi (PR): Mrs. Fisun Aktug, Commercial Attaché of Turkey in Karachi paid a curtesy call on Thursday, 19th April 2012 to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani, President, FPCCI, welcomed her in Federation House and said that Pakistan and Turkey has long historical relations based on brotherhood, cultural and mutual understanding. Both countries support each other on various international forums.People of both countries have emotion and sentiment for each other. Business Community of both countries are proactive to boost economic and trade relations. In order to tap new avnew of cooperation President FPCCI has paid visit to Turkey . He also appreciated recent visit of Turkish Iron and Steel Industry and Turkish builders and Construction companies to FPCCI.
President FPCCI also showed satisfaction over the trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey . He informed that mutual trade between Pakistan and Turkey is quite encouraging. Volume of bilateral trade between the two countries has increased from US $ 543 million during 2006-07 to US $ 899 million in the current year. Pakistan is enjoying trade surplus of US $ 603 million during the same period.
Mrs. Fisun Aktug, Commercial Attaché of Turkey stated that after the visit of Turkish Prime Minister to Pakistan relations between the two countries has reached new dimensions. Pakistan and Turkey make joint venture to build highways,ports, starting from construction sector we will be able to cover other sectors in future. Turkish people love Pakistani people and Pakistanis in Turkey are enjoying friendly environment.

The meeting was concluded with the presentation of FPCCI crest to Mrs.Fisun Aktug, Commercial Attache.
