Karachi: The British Deputy High Commissioner and Director UK Trade and Investment Mr.Francis Campbell, along with CEO of Sigma Motors – Col (R) Syed Zafar Uddin Ahmad, and Dean of the Diplomatic Corp at the launching Ceremony at Rang Rover Evoque at British Deputy High Commission.
KARACHI: The British Deputy High Commissioner and Director for UK Trade and Investment for Pakistan, Francis Campbell along with the CEO of Sigma Motors – Col (R) Syed Zafar Uddin Ahmad, hosted the launch of Ranger Rover “Evoque” at the British Deputy High Commission in Karachi last evening. The launch ceremony was attended by top business professional in Pakistan, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media.
British Deputy High Commissioner and Director for UK Trade and Investment for Pakistan, Francis Campbell Francis Campbell in his address said: “We are delighted to partner with Sigma Motors to bring such a prestigious British brand to Pakistan.” He added that the UK Government is fully committed to building on the bilateral trade relationship between the two countries.
The Btitish envoy congratulated Sigma Motors for enhancing the automobile sector in Pakistan by introducing advanced UK technologies and in doing so creating thousands of jobs in this country.He added that such investments will contribute towards our goal of increasing trade between the two countries every year to £2.5 billion by 2015.”
The CEO of Sigma Motors – Col (R) Syed Zafar Uddin Ahmad in his speech said: “The all new Range Rover Evoque is one of the most exciting vehicles in a generation. Sigma Motors started its activities in 1994 as a sole distributor of Land Rover products i.e. Range Rover, Discovery, Freelander and Defender in Pakistan. In 2002, they started the local assembly of LR Defender variants and a total of 12 variants are being assembled in Pakistan. The latest vehicle that is being introduced in Pakistan by Sigma Motors is the Range Rover Evoque.
