The world famous brand H&M closes over 1,000 stores in five countries

Oslo, Norway: The clothing giant has decided to close its stores in Norway, Germany, US, Canada, Portugal and Belgium due to the virus outbreak.  After H&M has opened 500 of the 516 stores in China, the clothing giant now seems to have to take a new approach. Already on Tuesday, the chain is closing all 590 stores in the United States, as well as 96 stores in Canada. The stores in Belgium and and Portugal will also be closed from Tuesday. For the time being, these stores will be closed for two weeks. As of Wednesday, the 460 stores in Germany are also temporarily closed. This is in addition to the fact that the company earlier this week announced that all stores in Switzerland, Greece, Slovakia, Lithuania, Peru, Ukraine, Philippines, Malaysia and Cyprus are now closed. The company states that extensive work is under way to deal with the virus situation where the highest priority is the employees and the safety of the customers.
